On Sunday afternoon, in a beautifully decorated Universal sound stage full of the best memories, the Van Dyke family and friends celebrated the life and legacy of the lovable Jerry Van Dyke. Little brother to Dick and known to most as the exceptionally quirky funny man behind his memorable roles in "Coach, " "Yes, Dear," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Middle" and many, many more, his nearest and dearest were treated to an afternoon of reminiscing and beautiful reunions as so many gathered to pay respect to Jerry's legacy of laughter. Pictured here are Jerry's wife, Shirley, and brother, Dick Van Dyke, with Jerry looking down over their shoulders. With so much heart and love (and laughs, of course!!) filling the room yesterday, I think it's pretty safe to say that Jerry's ever-present personality will be looking down on us all whenever we need an extra smile.

We book baby cake smashes each week here at Alaura Imagery & Design, but this is the first time we've done an animal cake smash, and I have a feeling it won't be the last! As a tribute on her birthday to our special little girl Leafia who passed away a few days ago after a devastating dog break-in and attack, our hearts are healed with giggles and love as we celebrate our special girl and her survivor besties.
